Farooq Abdullah's Vision for Kashmir

On Monday, Farooq Abdullah, the president of the National Conference, stated that a successful Amarnath Yatra would convey a message of peace in Kashmir to the rest of the country. He emphasized that achieving statehood remains a critical issue for them, one that will never be resolved until it is addressed. Abdullah expressed hope, noting that promises had been made not only in Parliament but also in the Supreme Court. He acknowledged that the public has expectations from them, and they cannot fulfill these until statehood is restored.


Revitalizing Tourism in Kashmir

Abdullah highlighted the necessity of initiating a new phase in tourism. He mentioned that efforts are underway to rejuvenate the tourism sector. Speaking to reporters in Baba Nagri, located in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district, he remarked, "It is encouraging that Amarnath pilgrims will be arriving. We need the maximum number of pilgrims to come, sending a clear message that peace prevails here in Kashmir." He also noted that the damage caused by the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam could be mitigated through a peaceful Amarnath pilgrimage.


Prayers for National Peace

While attending the annual Urs in Baba Nagri, Abdullah shared that he prayed for peace in the country. He expressed his hopes for a better future for the youth and the end of the atmosphere of hatred that the nation is currently experiencing.
