Farmers Celebrate Land Dedication for Noida International Airport with Chief Minister

Farmers from the Jewar region, who dedicated their land for the Noida International Airport, met with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today at his residence on Kalidas Marg, Lucknow. This meeting, led by local MLA Dhairendra Singh, was not merely a formal encounter but a significant moment symbolizing development, trust, and respect for farmers. During the meeting, MLA Singh expressed that he was present not just as a representative of Jewar but as a voice for the thousands of farming families who have sacrificed their ancestral land for the progress of the state and nation. He emphasized that for farmers, land is not just property; it represents their identity, heritage, and the foundation of their family's future.

MLA Dhairendra Singh remarked that the farmers of Jewar have made history by flying from their own land, where a world-class airport is being constructed, to Lucknow. He noted that hands that once held farming tools now proudly hold boarding passes, marking a journey that reflects the struggles and dignity of farmers and the evolving landscape of Uttar Pradesh.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the sacrifices, vision, and cooperation of the farmers from Jewar, acknowledging their crucial role in realizing the vision of the Noida International Airport. He recalled the time when the project was stalled despite cabinet approval and how he personally engaged with farmers to discuss development opportunities.

The Chief Minister highlighted that in 2017, Jewar lacked basic infrastructure, including roads, education, health, and job opportunities. However, he stated that the region is poised to become a major hub for development in Uttar Pradesh, attracting global investment, trade, agricultural exports, and modern industries. He mentioned plans for semiconductor units, a medical device park, and world-class educational institutions, which will create new job opportunities for local youth and improve market access for agricultural products.

Yogi Adityanath assured farmers that the state government does not negotiate their rights but works to ensure they receive their rightful entitlements. He reaffirmed the government's commitment to their dignity, interests, and future. Additionally, he announced the commencement of Jewar Degree College in the current academic session and directed the Yamuna Authority to initiate necessary actions for expanding medical facilities and indoor stadiums in the area.

During the event, farmers expressed their gratitude towards the Chief Minister for understanding their sentiments and linking their sacrifices to the mainstream of development. They described their journey to meet the Chief Minister as an unforgettable moment in their lives, facilitated by the airport built on their land. Farmer Jai Veer Singh noted that the airport has transformed the region's identity, while others echoed sentiments about the economic opportunities it brings.
