Faridabad Police Capture Shooter Linked to Attack on YouTuber Elvish Yadav
Arrest of the Shooter
The Crime Branch of Faridabad has successfully apprehended the individual responsible for the recent shooting incident outside the residence of YouTuber Elvish Yadav in Gurugram. The suspect, identified as Ishant, also known as Ishu Gandhi, hails from Jawahar Colony in Faridabad. He was captured following an encounter that resulted in a gunshot wound to his leg, necessitating hospitalization.
Details of the Incident
Authorities reported that Gandhi discharged more than six rounds from an automatic weapon at the police team before his arrest. The Crime Branch is currently probing his motives and investigating any potential affiliations with organized crime or gangs.
According to police reports, three assailants arrived on motorcycles and unleashed 25 to 30 rounds at Yadav's home before fleeing the scene. Fortunately, there were no injuries, as Elvish was not present during the attack, although family members and a caretaker were inside.
Sandeep Kumar, the Public Relations Officer for Gurugram Police, stated, 'Three masked individuals opened fire outside the residence of YouTuber and Big Boss OTT winner Elvish Yadav in Sector 57 of Gurugram around 5:30 AM. More than a dozen shots were fired, but Elvish was not home at the time.'
CCTV footage captured the alarming event, showing two masked gunmen targeting the 16-bedroom mansion, hitting various parts of the property, including gates, doors, and windows, while a third accomplice waited on a motorcycle.
Gang's Claim of Responsibility
Following the shooting, the Bhau Gang took responsibility for the attack. They claimed that the shooting was executed by Neeraj Faridpur and Bhau Ritoliya, labeling it a mere 'warning' to the YouTuber.
Bhau Ritoliya issued a statement, saying, 'Greetings to all. Today, a shooting occurred at Elvish Yadav's residence, executed by Neeraj Faridpur and myself. We have made our presence known. He has caused significant harm by promoting illegal betting applications. This serves as a warning to all social media influencers like Elvish Yadav. Those who endorse such apps should be cautious, as a call or a bullet could come at any moment. Stay vigilant.'
Elvish Yadav's Response
In the aftermath of the incident, Elvish took to Instagram to reassure his followers that he and his family are safe. He expressed gratitude for the support, stating, 'I sincerely appreciate your good wishes. My family and I are safe and well. Your concern means a lot to us. Thank you.'
