Far-Right Influencer Jake Lang Arrested in Texas for Terroristic Threats
Jake Lang's Recent Arrest
Jake Lang, a far-right social media figure who received a pardon from former President Donald Trump for his involvement in the January 6, 2021, Capitol insurrection, has been apprehended in Texas on allegations of making terroristic threats. As per the arrest documentation, Lang was taken into custody at the Dallas County jail on Tuesday, with his bail set at $1 million. The Dallas Morning News was the first to report on this incident.
This marks Lang's second arrest in Texas within a week; he was previously detained on a criminal trespassing charge after an event on June 2 at 6101 Frisco Square Boulevard in Frisco, where he was arrested the following day. The current charges relate to remarks Lang allegedly made during the sentencing proceedings of Karmelo Anthony. According to a spokesperson for Lang, he was arrested at Dallas airport while on a plane. The spokesperson indicated that Lang had expressed intentions to 'take care of it himself' if the jury did not convict Anthony in the murder case of Austin Metcalf.
Lang now faces charges for making terroristic threats, although further specifics regarding the allegations have not yet been disclosed by law enforcement. The investigation into this matter is ongoing.
