Call for Justice in Nikita Godishala's Case

The family of Nikita Godishala, an Indian-origin woman discovered deceased in the United States, is urging authorities to issue an international arrest warrant for the suspect in her alleged murder to ensure his swift capture.

A family member shared on Tuesday that they are in contact with U.S. officials regarding the repatriation of Godishala's remains to Hyderabad.

Nikita, 27, who resided in Ellicott City, Maryland, was reported missing on January 2.

Howard County police confirmed that she was found dead in the apartment of 26-year-old Arjun Sharma in Columbia, Maryland, with stab wounds evident on her body. Sharma was previously her roommate.

U.S. law enforcement has secured an arrest warrant against Sharma on charges of first and second-degree murder, alleging that he killed Nikita and fled to India.

A family member stated, 'Arjun Sharma should be apprehended through an international arrest warrant and face severe punishment.'
