Family of 15-Year-Old Girl Who Criticized PM Modi Goes Missing Amid Controversy
Family Disappears Following Controversial Remarks
Noida (Uttar Pradesh), August 4 - The family of a 15-year-old girl, who allegedly made disrespectful comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a protest at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, could not be found at their residence in Noida on Tuesday. Local police reported that they have not received any complaints regarding the family's harassment.
Security guards and maintenance staff at the housing society in Sector 168 informed a news agency that both the girl and her mother were absent from their home. One guard mentioned, 'Since the video went viral, the family has reduced their interactions with others, and police officials from both Delhi and Noida have visited their home on several occasions.'
However, the staff at the housing society stated they had no information about the family's current whereabouts. Responding to allegations of harassment, an officer from the Noida Expressway police station indicated that they had not received any reports of the family being troubled either within the housing society or elsewhere. The officer noted that a zero FIR was filed by Noida police on the same day a complaint against the girl was received, which was then forwarded to the Delhi police, as the incident occurred in the national capital.
The officer added, 'Since then, the family has not been in contact with us, nor have they shared any information or complaints with the local police.' It is possible that the family has temporarily relocated to Faridabad in the neighboring state of Haryana. This development comes just days after the girl's mother appealed to Prime Minister Modi for forgiveness for her daughter, stating that they had apologized multiple times and that the minor was led astray during the protest.
On August 1, in an interview with a news agency, the mother expressed her gratitude to the Prime Minister for publicly forgiving her daughter after the incident.
