A startling incident has emerged from Maharashtra, where a man named Dattatray Sadashiv Pawar, who has only completed the tenth grade, was running a clinic without any medical qualifications. For the past three years, he treated patients suffering from serious ailments such as diabetes and bone issues. Pawar admitted that he had undergone just four days of training in Satara, which he used as a basis to establish his clinic in Pandharpur. Charging 500 rupees per patient, he reportedly treated around 70 to 80 patients daily.
Clinic Exposed After Suspicion
The clinic was located behind the Narayan Dev Baba Bhakt Niwas on Old Akluj Road in Pandharpur. Local residents grew suspicious of his practices and alerted the health department.
Health Department Raids Clinic
With assistance from the police and municipal authorities, the health department conducted a raid on the clinic. During the operation, it was discovered that the accused lacked any license or medical certification to operate a clinic.
Endangering Patients' Lives
For three years, the accused not only treated patients in Pandharpur but also in Shegaon. A significant number of patients visited him daily, putting their lives at risk.
