Faizabad Bar Association's Bold Decision

In a significant move, the Faizabad Bar Association declared on Monday that its members would not represent the eight individuals accused of misappropriating donations intended for the Ram temple. The association has imposed a hefty penalty of Rs 5 lakh on any lawyer who disregards this resolution.

This decision emerged during a general meeting of the association, where it became clear that many lawyers were reluctant to defend the accused due to the emotional distress caused by the alleged theft of temple donations.

Shailendra Jaiswal, the secretary of the Bar Association, expressed the collective sentiment, stating, "The theft of temple offerings has deeply hurt us all. The lawyers in Faizabad have unanimously decided not to defend the arrested individuals."
