Lum’er Pyngngad, May 11: Tucked away in the picturesque hills of Meghalaya, Lum’er Pyngngad has quickly become one of the most attractive tourist spots in the Ri Bhoi district.

Situated about 74 kilometers from Jorabat, Lum’er Pyngngad serves as a convenient escape for travelers from Guwahati and surrounding areas. The beautiful drive through the Khasi hills enhances its charm.


Locals report that the site typically welcomes over 100 visitors daily during the off-peak season, with numbers soaring to around 1,000 during the peak months of January, July, November, and December.


Pynbianglang Mawlong, the management head of Lum’er Pyngngad, spoke about the growing allure of the site, noting the deep emotional bond visitors form with the area.


“Lum’er Pyngngad is more than just a destination; it embodies a sense of tranquility and connection with nature. People come here to unwind, breathe deeply, and reconnect with the earth,” he remarked.
