Overview of the Upcoming Cricket Season

The England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) has unveiled the home fixtures for both the men's and women's cricket teams, featuring the highly anticipated men's five-Test Ashes series and the women's multi-format Ashes series, which will be the highlights of a thrilling international summer.

Men's Ashes Series Details

After suffering a 4-1 loss in Australia earlier this year, the England men's team will kick off their quest to reclaim the Ashes at Trent Bridge on June 18. The series will continue with matches at Lord's, Edgbaston, the Rose Bowl, and The Oval. Notably, the Rose Bowl will host a men's Ashes Test for the first time, while The Oval will once again be the venue for the series finale, starting on July 29, according to the ICC.

Women's Ashes Series Schedule

The England Women's team will commence their multi-format Ashes series with a one-off Test at Headingley, beginning on June 24. This marks the first women's Ashes Test at the venue since 2001. Following the Test, the competition will transition to the white-ball format, featuring three T20 matches at Trent Bridge, The Oval, and Emirates Old Trafford, followed by a three-match ODI series at the Utilita Bowl, Lord's, and Edgbaston. This series follows the recent ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 Final, where Australia emerged victorious.

Additional International Matches

In addition to the Ashes, the England men's team will start their home season with a five-match ODI series against Pakistan, followed by a one-off Test against Bangladesh at Lord's. Their preparations for the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2027 will culminate in a white-ball series against New Zealand in September.

Meanwhile, the England women's team will conclude their summer with T20I and ODI series against Bangladesh.

World Test Championship Final Venue Announcement

The ECB has also confirmed that The Oval will host the ICC World Test Championship 2027 Final from June 9 to 13, marking the second occasion that this venue has held the prestigious title decider.
