Australia's Thrilling Summer Cricket Lineup
On Sunday, Cricket Australia (CA) revealed an exhilarating summer cricket schedule, featuring 27 international matches across 14 venues for both men's and women's teams. The men's squad will embark on a demanding series of 10 Tests over a span of 14 weeks, commencing in December 2026 and concluding in March 2027.
International Teams Set to Visit
According to cricket.com.au, Australia will host England, New Zealand, and Bangladesh, culminating in a special Test match against England in Melbourne to commemorate 150 years of Test cricket.
Men's Test Series Against Bangladesh
The cricket season kicks off on August 13 with a two-match Test series against Bangladesh, scheduled to take place in Darwin and Mackay.
Women's Bilateral Series with Bangladesh
From October 9 to 22, the Australian women's team will compete against Bangladesh in a series comprising three ODIs and T20Is. This marks the inaugural bilateral series between these teams on Australian soil.
England's Return for White-Ball Matches
Brendon McCullum's England team will return to Australia for a series of three T20Is and five ODIs starting November 13, with the first ODI taking place in Perth. The T20I matches will commence on November 21 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Following a disappointing 4-1 defeat in the Ashes series, McCullum and his squad, including young talent Harry Brook, aim to redeem themselves ahead of the 2027 ODI Cricket World Cup and the 2028 T20 World Cup.

After the schedule announcement, Cricket Australia CEO Todd Greenberg expressed excitement about the international lineup, stating, "We are thrilled to present a schedule that allows fans across Australia to witness our exceptional national teams in action at various fantastic venues over the next eight months."
"The rivalry with New Zealand has always been fiercely contested, promising memorable moments in both the men's Test series and the women's white-ball series," he added.
"We are also pleased to bring Test cricket back to Darwin and Mackay for the first time, providing a unique opportunity in the busy international calendar for the men's series against Bangladesh," he concluded.
"The 150th Anniversary Test Match will serve as a grand finale to the summer, uniting the cricket community at the MCG to celebrate the sport's rich history and the legends who have contributed to its greatness."
