Since its establishment in 2018, the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League has emerged as a significant platform for budding cricket talent, solidifying its status as one of India's top franchise-based domestic T20 tournaments. Ajinkya Naik expressed pride in the league's role in nurturing talent, stating, "It is gratifying to see players like Ajinkya Rahane, Shardul Thakur, and Shreyas Iyer represent India after their time in Mumbai. They will now mentor younger players, providing invaluable experience. The exposure for these young athletes will be tremendous, especially for women players sharing the field with established stars.
