Members from the Apex Council and all 11 teams were present to commemorate the start of this exciting cricket season. Since its establishment in 2018, the Nuvama Private T20 Mumbai League has emerged as a significant platform for budding cricket talent, solidifying its status as one of India's top franchise-based domestic T20 tournaments. Officials Praise the League's Impact on Talent Development
Ajinkya Naik expressed pride in the league's role in nurturing talent, stating, "It is gratifying to see players like Ajinkya Rahane, Shardul Thakur, and Shreyas Iyer represent India after their time in Mumbai. They will now mentor younger players, providing invaluable experience. The exposure for these young athletes will be tremendous, especially for women players sharing the field with established stars. Players like Shivam Dube and Suryakumar Yadav have previously excelled in this league and contributed to India's T20 World Cup victory."
Rajdip Gupta added, "My primary responsibility was to initiate the women's tournament. I appreciate the support from the apex council and the governing council, which made this possible. I am proud to officially announce the launch of both the T20 Mumbai League and the T20 Mumbai Women's League."
