Thrilling Matches on Day 2

Following an exhilarating Day 1, the World Padel League (WPL) continued its action on Day 2, featuring a nail-biting match between Game Changers Lions and Hubtown Panorama Panthers. The Lions managed to secure a narrow victory, finishing the match at 14-12.


In the day's second match, Khan Tigers made a remarkable comeback against Vedanta Leopards, overcoming an early 1-6 deficit to clinch their first win of the season with a score of 14-12.


Game Changers Lions vs Hubtown Panorama Panthers

The first set showcased World No. 3 Bea Gonzalez and World No. 4 Paula Josemaria from the Lions, who faced off against Marta Caparros and Marta Barrera from the Panthers. The Lions took the set with a score of 6-2 after a series of intense exchanges.


In the second set, the Panthers responded with Juan Tello and Eduardo Alonso, who leveled the match by winning 6-2 against Gonzalo Alfonso and padel legend Sanyo Gutierrez.


As the match reached its climax, the final set saw Enrique Goenaga and Rama Valenzuela give the Panthers a 4-1 lead. However, Federico Mourino and Teodoro Zapata rallied back to win the decider 6-4, securing the match for the Lions.


Khan Tigers vs Vedanta Leopards

The Leopards started strong, with Marta Ortega and Veronica Virseda winning the opening set 6-1 against Raquel Eugenio and Martina Fassio.


The Tigers responded decisively in the second set, as Javi Garcia and Inigo Jofre dominated their opponents, winning 6-0 to equalize the match.


In a tense final set, Aris Patiniotis and Lucas Campagnolo held their composure against Francisco Guerrero and Javi Ruiz, winning the tie-break 7-6 to complete the comeback and secure a 14-12 victory for the Tigers.
