In just a week, 275 cricketers from Assam will discover which of the eight franchises they will join during the inaugural player auction of the Assam Premier League (APL). This event is scheduled for July 19 at the 91 Yards Club, located within the ACA Stadium in Guwahati.


Star-Studded Marquee List

The marquee list features 20 prominent players from Assam's senior domestic circuit. Key batting and all-rounder options include Denish Das, Sibsankar Roy, Sumit Kashyap, Swarupam Purkayastha, and Jitumoni Kalita. The bowling lineup is led by Mrinmoy Dutta, Muktar Hussain, Avinav Choudhary, Rahul Singh, Sadak Hussain, and Bhargab Pratim Lakhar. Additional batting talent comes from Saahil Jain, Pradyun Saikia, and Saurav Mousum Dihingia, while Abdul Ajij Kuraishi, Akash Sengupta, and Ayushman Malakar enhance the all-rounder category. Wicketkeeping options include Sumit Ghadigaonkar, Rohit Sen, and Ruhinandan Pegu. All players have participated in BCCI tournaments for Assam and are anticipated to attract significant bids as the franchises assemble their teams for the league's first season, commencing on August 1.

Assam has waited a long time for a platform of its own, and we intend to make the first season one to remember."
