In Jaipur, the counting of votes for 10,245 wards across 309 municipal bodies is currently underway. As of 11 AM, the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is leading with victories in 1,401 wards, while the main opposition party, Congress, has secured 1,211 wards. Other parties have also made their mark, with the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) winning 33 wards, the CPI(M) claiming 5, and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) obtaining 2 seats. Notably, independent candidates have triumphed in 703 wards, which could play a crucial role in the formation of local boards.
