Tehran: The deadline set by U.S. President Donald Trump, threatening to push Iran back to the Stone Age, is set to expire tonight at 8 PM. However, prior to this deadline, American and Israeli forces have commenced targeting Iran's railway stations and bridges. The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) have reported conducting multiple strikes across various locations in Iran. Notably, an attack was executed on the Kom Bridge in the city of Qom, along with assaults on the Yahyabad railway bridge. Civilian sites in the Iranian city of Shahriar have also been hit.
These Israeli strikes have resulted in two fatalities and left three individuals injured. The IDF confirmed the destruction of the Kashan railway bridge in Iran. Additionally, a railway bridge in Qazvin was damaged during the attacks. In response to the escalating situation, the Iranian government has closed the Mashhad railway station. Meanwhile, reports from Mehr News indicate that Kharg Island, known as Iran's oil hub, has also been subjected to relentless airstrikes.
Iran Responds with Missile Strikes on UAE
In retaliation, Iran has launched missiles targeting the UAE. Iranian state media reported a statement from the Revolutionary Guards, asserting that if the U.S. attacks civilian areas, they will not hesitate to respond in kind. Following the Israeli assaults, Iran has also unleashed a barrage of rockets on central Israel, resulting in the collapse of a building in Petah Tikva. Furthermore, there have been reports of damage to civilian properties in Givat Shmuel.
Trump's Deadline Approaches
It is important to note that President Trump has warned Iran that if the Strait of Hormuz is not reopened by tonight at 8 PM, they will face severe bombings and devastating attacks. Trump has threatened that if Iran does not comply with the deadline or reach an 'acceptable' agreement, they could be obliterated 'in a single night.'
