On Saturday, Dr. S.P. Katial, the Chairman of the State Food Commission, visited the tribal area of Bharmaur to assess various warehouses in accordance with the National Food Security Act (NFSA) of 2013. His inspection aimed to evaluate the availability, quality, and distribution of food grains in the region.
Dr. Katial highlighted the government's commitment to ensuring that eligible beneficiaries receive their rations in a timely and transparent manner. He pointed out that ration card holders throughout the state are benefiting from this Act. Ongoing monitoring efforts are in place to enhance the public distribution system, ensuring that no deserving individual is denied their rightful share.
In light of the heavy snowfall affecting Bharmaur, he also mentioned that ration supplies have been preemptively delivered to depots to prevent any additional hardships for residents during this challenging period.
Accompanying him during this visit were Nishikant, the Area Manager of the Food Commission, SDM Bharmaur Vikas Sharma, and Food Commission Inspector Manoj from Chamba.
