Intensified Security Operations in Jammu District

On August 7, ahead of Independence Day, law enforcement officials implemented stringent security measures in Jammu district. The police conducted a comprehensive cordon and search operation, along with extensive patrolling, as confirmed by authorities.


This operation, which took place under the jurisdiction of the Choura police station, covered areas from Gala to Thorni, including the villages of Miyari, Juthal, and Amb.


Officials noted that members of the Village Defense Guards (VDG) actively participated in the operation. A thorough search was conducted throughout the region, but no suspicious individuals or objectionable materials were discovered, and the operation concluded peacefully. The police team also engaged with residents of Thorni village, urging them to remain vigilant.


The police encouraged the community to report any suspicious individuals, activities, or items to the nearest police station immediately.
