Security Operations in Bhaderwah Region

Following the government's decision to reopen tourist destinations in Jammu and Kashmir, military personnel have initiated various security measures in the forests and mountainous areas of the Bhaderwah region in Doda district as of Thursday.

These actions were prompted by a terrorist attack in Pahalgam on April 22, aimed at ensuring a peaceful environment in the hilly regions, particularly in light of the upcoming Amarnath Yatra starting on July 3.

Officials reported that soldiers from the National Rifles conducted patrols in various elevated areas of Bhaderwah, utilizing drones and rocket launchers for aerial surveillance as part of their security operations.

The campaign was launched not only to restore confidence among local residents and tourists but also to closely monitor any potential terrorist activities.

Bhaderwah, often referred to as 'Mini Kashmir', boasts numerous tourist attractions that draw hundreds of visitors throughout the year. Authorities have indicated that patrols in the Himalayan region have been intensified to ensure peace and security.
