Security Measures Intensified at Patna Airport

Following a bomb threat received via email, security protocols have been significantly heightened at Patna's Jay Prakash Narayan International Airport. This alarming message surfaced just months ahead of the upcoming state assembly elections, prompting immediate action from authorities.

On Saturday, officials confirmed that the threat was deemed a hoax after a thorough assessment. A statement released by the airport indicated that the bomb threat was sent to the director's email late Friday night, leading to an urgent meeting of the Bomb Threat Assessment Committee (BTAC). The committee concluded that the threat was unfounded.

In response to the incident, the Superintendent of Police (Patna Central), Diksha, reported that security measures at the airport have been reinforced. She stated, 'This threat has turned out to be a false alarm. We are currently working to trace the sender's IP address to identify the individual responsible.' A police report has been filed regarding this matter.
