Engineer Falls Victim to Marriage Scam in Madhya Pradesh

When it comes to marriage, many men prioritize the beauty of their future brides. This desire often leads to various adventures, some of which can turn troublesome. A recent incident involving a software engineer from Delhi illustrates this point.

The engineer, eager to find a beautiful bride, turned to Google for assistance. His search led him to Madhya Pradesh, where he hoped to find his ideal partner. However, what he encountered was far from what he expected, landing him in a troubling situation that required police intervention.

The Incident in Shivpuri

Amit Banjara, the software engineer from Delhi, was determined to marry a beautiful woman. His online research introduced him to the concept of contract marriages, which he discovered were prevalent in Shivpuri, Madhya Pradesh. Motivated by this information, he traveled directly to the region in search of a bride.

Upon arriving in Shivpuri, Amit realized he was unfamiliar with the area and sought help from a local auto-rickshaw driver. After explaining his situation, the driver, Rahul Goswami, agreed to assist him and took Amit to meet a woman named Kiran, who inquired about his intentions.

A Promising Encounter Turns Sour

Following Kiran's guidance, Rahul took Amit to a place called Barodi, where he was introduced to a man named Monu. Monu assured Amit that he could facilitate his marriage to a girl from the Bedhiya community, and the wedding was conducted at a local temple.

Unbeknownst to Amit, he was entangled in a scam orchestrated by the family of his new bride. After the marriage, they began to harass him for money, revealing their true intentions as a recovery gang. They demanded financial compensation and threatened to take over his bank deposits if he refused.

Seeking Help from Authorities

Amit found himself in a precarious situation, facing threats to his life if he did not comply with their demands. Distressed, he reported the matter to the police, seeking assistance in navigating this troubling ordeal.
