ED Conducts Fresh Raids on BJD Leader's Properties

In Keonjhar, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has once again targeted BJD leader Raja Chakra, conducting a raid at his residence in Jagannathpur and subsequently sealing his transport office. This operation is part of an ongoing investigation into alleged financial misconduct linked to the Gandhamardan Loading Agency, which is owned by Chakra.

During the raid, officials from the ED sealed the Divyanshi Transport office located near Ram Mandir on Mining Road. While the ED has not publicly commented on the specifics of the raid, they are reportedly examining various documents related to the alleged financial irregularities. Previous raids have led to the confiscation of significant assets belonging to Chakra, who, along with his associates Susant Samal (also known as Babula Samal), former loading agency president Manas Barik, and secretary Utkal Das, has been arrested. All accused individuals are currently detained in Balasore jail as the case proceeds through the EOW’s Balasore court, where their bail applications have been denied. The latest raid has sparked renewed discussions among the public, especially as the ED was supported by Central forces and local police during the operation.
