ED Conducts Raids on Ashok Mittal's Businesses


Jalandhar/New Delhi: On Wednesday, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) executed searches at various business locations associated with AAP Rajya Sabha member Ashok Mittal in Punjab as part of an investigation under the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA), according to officials.


Mittal, who is 61 years old and is known for his role in the education sector as the head of the Lovely Group, which includes a university of the same name, was recently appointed as the deputy leader of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the Rajya Sabha, succeeding Raghav Chadha.


The raids are taking place at several of Mittal's business establishments in Jalandhar and Phagwara, along with other sites.
