Inauguration of Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue
New Delhi, Jan 10: The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue was officially launched on Friday at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The event was inaugurated by Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and Labour & Employment, Mansukh Mandaviya, alongside National Security Advisor Ajit Doval. This initiative marks a pivotal move towards empowering the youth of India to engage actively in nation-building efforts.
Also present at the event were Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports, Raksha Nikhil Khadse, and Youth Affairs Secretary Pallavi Jain Govil.
During his address to the young attendees, Mansukh Mandaviya emphasized the extensive scale and meticulous selection process of the initiative. He stated, “The Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue attracted participation from nearly 5 million youth nationwide. From this pool, approximately 300,000 talented individuals were invited to submit essays, which were evaluated by academic professionals. Ultimately, 30,000 youth were chosen for state-level presentations, and 3,000 outstanding candidates reached this national platform.”
Congratulating the selected finalists, Mandaviya remarked, “Your dedication to Viksit Bharat and your innovative ideas can now be presented to the Prime Minister. After all your hard work, you have made it here. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has placed great trust in the youth of our nation, who will play a vital role in realizing Viksit Bharat.”
Recalling the Prime Minister’s message to the youth, Mandaviya referenced the oath taken at the Red Fort, where PM Modi reiterated the commitment to building a developed India.
“The Prime Minister has stated that to achieve Viksit Bharat, every citizen, especially the youth, must fulfill their responsibilities. We will uphold our duties with ‘Nation First’ as our guiding principle,” he added.
National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, addressing the audience, highlighted the significance of decision-making in leadership and nation-building.
He noted, “A common thread between my youth and my current self is the capacity to make decisions. Whether you recognize it or not, decision-making is a constant companion. Youth make numerous small and significant decisions daily, and as you mature, these accumulate into larger choices.”
Expressing optimism about India's future, Doval asserted, “India is on the path to becoming a developed nation. Under Prime Minister Modi's leadership, our country is poised to reach this goal soon. The pressing question is — who will guide the nation towards this development? If you aspire to be leaders in the journey towards Viksit Bharat, you must begin making decisions now, with a vision that extends beyond the present.”
He encouraged the youth to serve the nation selflessly, stating, “If you wish to contribute positively to the country, engage in meaningful work. Avoid seeking publicity. Whatever you undertake, do it with excellence and with the singular aim of enhancing the nation.”
The dialogue is designed to establish a robust platform for young leaders to share their ideas, leadership skills, and vision, reinforcing the belief that the youth of India are the key drivers of the country's transformation.
