BJP leader and social activist Munish Sharma has hailed the Nari Shakti Vandan Act as a significant advancement for women, referring to it as a vital step towards enhancing women's empowerment.

Government's Commitment

Sharma pointed out that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has honored his promise by facilitating the Act's enactment. To further this initiative, the government organized a three-day all-party meeting in Parliament commencing on April 16.

Importance of Women's Involvement

He stressed the importance of women's contributions across various sectors, asserting that their involvement in decision-making processes is crucial. Sharma expressed appreciation to the BJP leadership for their focus on empowering women.

Campaign Initiatives

Additionally, he mentioned that a missed call campaign was initiated by the Prime Minister to advocate for the Act. However, he observed a lack of enthusiasm from Kangra BJP leaders regarding this initiative. In contrast, Sharma and his team successfully garnered 9,000 missed calls in support of the campaign.

Local Engagement

Emphasizing the influence of women voters, Sharma noted that the Kangra constituency boasts a substantial female demographic, who actively participate in every election.
