A training session was held in Bharmour aimed at farmers and horticulturists from the Bharmaur block, organized in partnership with the Department of Science and Technology (DST). The primary goal of this initiative was to educate participants about contemporary agricultural practices, particularly focusing on mushroom cultivation, while also presenting new avenues for income generation.
Dr. Manohar Lal, a subject matter expert, along with project leader Dr. Bhupendra, facilitated the camp, offering comprehensive insights into various facets of mushroom farming. The discussions included advanced cultivation methods, production techniques, disease management, and effective marketing strategies. The experts highlighted that mushroom farming can be initiated with a low investment and has the potential for significant returns.
The farmers showed great enthusiasm, actively participating in discussions and seeking answers to their questions. At the end of the training, 300 mushroom bags were distributed to 100 farmers, enabling them to start practical cultivation and enhance their livelihoods.
