A 76-year-old woman, Saraswati Devi, stood before District Magistrate Jitendra Pratap Singh, visibly distressed and in tears. She revealed that her daughter, Premshanti, had physically assaulted her and forced her out of their home.
A Mother's Plea for Help
Saraswati expressed her despair, stating, "My daughter has taken over the house and has left me to live on the streets. Where can I go now?" Her emotional plea resonated with the DM and the officials present, prompting immediate action.
Two-Hour Mediation Session
Following the DM's orders, Joint Magistrate and Sub-Divisional Officer Anubhav Singh, along with revenue and police teams, quickly visited Dool village to assess the situation. Upon arrival, they were joined by the village head and other respected community members. A detailed mediation session lasting two hours was conducted, bringing both mother and daughter together for discussions.
