Technological Advancements and India's Future

On Saturday, Union Minister Piyush Goyal emphasized that emerging technologies will define India's growth story in the coming years. Speaking at the 'Sangam 2025' event organized by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras Alumni Association, Goyal stated, 'Your science and technology, combined with this vibrant startup ecosystem, research and development, and innovation, will shape the future growth narrative of India.'


Goyal highlighted the transformation of India from a job-seeking nation to a job-creating one. He remarked, 'Certainly, through various small initiatives, we have aimed to be part of the startup ecosystem and support it, along with the contributions made by organizations like IIT Madras.'


The minister noted that India's policies are designed to prepare the nation for the future, embracing technology and adopting new ways of working and living, while leading in fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing, and data analytics.


He added, 'We do not shy away from new technologies. We believe these innovations will assist us in advancing up the development ladder.' Goyal also mentioned that this approach helps India continue expanding its international engagements while countering the global trend of economic slowdown.
