Indigo Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Varanasi

On Sunday evening, an Indigo flight traveling from Gorakhpur to Bengaluru was forced to make an emergency landing at Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport in Varanasi due to a bird strike. This information was confirmed by officials on Monday.


According to the authorities, all 216 passengers aboard the aircraft are safe. They reported that the front part of the plane sustained damage after colliding with a bird. Given the seriousness of the situation, the pilot promptly contacted the Varanasi air traffic control and successfully landed the aircraft at the airport.


Puneet Gupta, the airport director, stated that all passengers are unharmed. He also mentioned that arrangements were made for the passengers to continue their journey on different flights the following day.
