Air Canada Flight Makes Emergency Stop in Boston
On Wednesday, an Air Canada flight en route to Canada was compelled to execute an emergency landing in Boston after one of the pilots experienced a medical emergency mid-flight. The incident involved Air Canada Flight 7664, which had taken off from Newark, New Jersey, and was diverted to Boston Logan International Airport around 1:40 PM local time, approximately one hour post-departure, as reported by CBS News.
The aircraft, a de Havilland Dash 8-400, successfully landed at approximately 2:00 PM. Following the landing, emergency services and ambulances were promptly dispatched to the runway. Footage from the scene depicted medical personnel arriving with a stretcher at the cockpit shortly after the plane touched down. A crew member was swiftly removed from the aircraft and transported to an ambulance within moments of landing.

According to Massachusetts State Police, the aircraft was under the control of the co-pilot during the emergency. Boston Emergency Medical Services confirmed that the pilot was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Details regarding the pilot's health status have not yet been disclosed.
