Electricity Connection Cut for RLP Leader Due to Overdue Bills

Electricity Disconnection for RLP Chief
The electricity connection for Hanuman Beniwal, the leader of the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and MP from Nagaur, has been severed due to outstanding dues exceeding ₹11 lakh. This property, which also houses the RLP office, is registered under the name of Beniwal's brother, Premsukh Beniwal. According to officials from the electricity distribution company in Nagaur, the disconnection is part of a larger initiative aimed at recovering overdue payments and cutting off connections for defaulters.
Details of the Outstanding Amount
Chaudhary stated, "Connections with overdue bills exceeding ₹11 lakh are being disconnected. The highest outstanding amount, ₹10.75 lakh, was registered under Premsukh Beniwal, son of Ramdev Beniwal." He mentioned that six notices had previously been issued for settlement and meter replacement, but the dues remained unpaid, and the settlement fee was not submitted. He added, "Despite multiple warnings, payment has not been made. The connection will only be restored once full payment is received."
Notices Issued for Payment
On November 8, 2024, two notices were issued by the Assistant Engineer's office of Ajmer Vidyut Vitran Nigam in Nagaur city. The first notice to Premsukh Beniwal indicated an outstanding amount of ₹9,82,953 under electricity account number 1521-0249. It warned that if the dues were not cleared within 15 days, the connection would be cut, and action would be taken for illegal electricity usage. Interestingly, Hanuman Beniwal's name was later handwritten in a different pen on this printed notice, possibly indicating an informal connection to the address.
