Election Commission Challenges Rahul Gandhi Over Vote Theft Claims
Election Commission's Response to Allegations
New Delhi: The Election Commission has once again urged Congress leader Rahul Gandhi to either formally endorse his allegations of vote theft or retract his statements and apologize to the nation. This comes after a heated exchange between Gandhi and the Commission regarding claims of electoral fraud in three states.
Following Gandhi's accusations of 'vote chori', officials from the Election Commission have requested that he provide specific names of individuals he alleges were improperly excluded or included in the electoral rolls, along with a signed declaration in accordance with the Conduct of Election Rules.
However, Gandhi has firmly stated that he will not sign any declaration, emphasizing that he has already pledged to uphold the Constitution as a Member of Parliament.
