Jabalpur Robbery Video: In the Sihoora Khitola area of Jabalpur district, Madhya Pradesh, the audacity of thieves has reached new heights as they employ cunning tactics for daylight robberies. In a recent incident, two men on a motorcycle deceived an elderly woman by pretending to offer her safety. They engaged her in conversation and then made off with her gold jewelry worth lakhs of rupees. The entire incident was captured on a CCTV camera, and the police are currently on the lookout for the suspects.


The incident took place near a railway crossing in the Khitola police jurisdiction. The 60-year-old victim, Lakshmi Patel, was outside her home disposing of animal waste when the two young men approached her on a motorcycle. One of them was wearing a mask. Initially, they asked her for directions to an unknown location. As she began to assist them, the thieves cleverly instilled fear in her.


Expressing false concern, they remarked, 'Ma'am, the world is quite dangerous these days; why are you wearing so much gold? You should take it off and keep it safe, or someone might steal it.' Alarmed by their words, the elderly woman removed her mangalsutra and gold ring for safety. As she held out the jewelry for inspection, the thieves quickly snatched it and sped away on their motorcycle before she could react.


Valuable Jewelry Stolen


The stolen mangalsutra and ring are reported to be worth several lakhs. This brazen act has instilled fear among the residents of Sihoora and Khitola. Following the incident, locals have raised concerns regarding police patrolling and security measures in the area.


Identifying the Suspects


Upon receiving the report, Khitola police station chief Raman Singh Markam arrived at the scene with his team. They retrieved footage from the CCTV cameras in the vicinity. A 1 minute and 47 seconds video clearly shows how the suspects engaged the woman in conversation before executing the robbery. The police confirmed that a case has been registered against the culprits. They are currently working to identify the suspects and the motorcycle used in the crime. Multiple police teams have been deployed to apprehend the thieves, and they are expected to be caught soon.
