Tragic Incident at CJP Protest

A 75-year-old man, Gopalakrishna Subbaiya Pillai, from Thane, experienced a sudden health crisis during the demonstration. He complained of chest pain and was rushed to the hospital, where he later passed away. According to police reports, doctors attributed his death to a heart attack.
Health Crisis Around 5 PM
As per police accounts, Pillai arrived at Shivaji Park around 4:30 PM. Approximately thirty minutes later, he began to feel unwell near Gate Number 6, reporting discomfort and chest pain. Friends accompanying him and on-site police officers quickly came to his aid.
Immediate Medical Attention
A doctor present at the protest provided initial care before Pillai was swiftly transported to the nearby Sushrusha Hospital. Unfortunately, his condition deteriorated, and he was pronounced dead by the attending physicians. The police confirmed that the cause of death was identified as a heart attack.
Came from Thane to Attend the Protest
Reports indicate that Pillai had traveled from Thane to participate in the protest at Shivaji Park, which was attended by a large crowd. Following the incident, the police filed an Accidental Death Report (ADR). The family did not raise any objections, and the body was subsequently handed over to them.
