Tragic Passing of a 70-Year-Old Inmate
A 70-year-old inmate serving a life sentence in Muzaffarnagar District Jail has succumbed to throat cancer. The jail superintendent, Abhishek Chaudhary, reported that the inmate, Sami Din, was taken to the district hospital on Wednesday evening after his health deteriorated, where he was pronounced dead by medical staff.
Chaudhary further explained that Sami Din had been suffering from throat cancer and his condition had worsened in recent times. According to jail officials, Din was sentenced to life imprisonment on July 30, 2015, for his involvement in a murder case. Since 2019, he had been incarcerated alongside his three sons, Haroon, Nasir, and Alam, who were also sentenced to life for the same crime.
