A meeting of senior officials from the Ekal Bharat Abhiyan took place in Mandi, focusing on enhancing grassroots outreach and social awareness initiatives in rural Himachal Pradesh.

The gathering assessed the ongoing efforts of the organization at the village level, discussing its social initiatives and future strategies to bolster its presence in rural communities. Currently, the organization is active in approximately 8,000 villages across Himachal Pradesh, emphasizing education, social awareness, and community involvement.

Key participants included Central Gram Sangathan Pramukh of Ekal Abhiyan, Sansar Chand, along with Bhaga Adhyaksh Mandi Pawan Sharma, Bhaga Sangathan Mantri Anil, Anchal Adhyaksh Mandi Roop Lal, and Bhaga Gatividhi Pramukh Manohar Lal.

A significant topic of discussion was the importance of maintaining consistent communication with rural populations to ensure that social initiatives effectively reach the grassroots level. The attendees deliberated on enhancing village networks and promoting local community participation in programs focused on education, social values, and collective responsibility.

The meeting emphasized the necessity of extending development and social awareness efforts beyond urban areas, fostering robust community initiatives in villages. Participants discussed future programs aimed at enhancing the effectiveness and sustainability of grassroots activities.

Prof. Anupama Singh, who leads social outreach initiatives as the head of the women’s wing of the Akhil Bharat Abhiyan in Himachal Pradesh, highlighted the vital role of villages in Indian society.

She noted that a stronger social connection and awareness at the grassroots level could establish a foundation for a self-sufficient, socially aware, and value-driven society. According to her, ongoing engagement with rural communities is crucial for tackling social challenges and motivating individuals, especially women and youth, to actively participate in community efforts.

Prof. Singh further advocated for enhancing village-level interactions in the upcoming months and involving more individuals in constructive social initiatives. She emphasized that the overarching goal should be to foster a deeper sense of social responsibility and promote the spirit of nation-building across all societal segments.

The discussions also aimed at improving collaboration among officials at various levels to ensure the effective implementation of future programs in rural settings. Participants reaffirmed their dedication to broadening the organization’s outreach and strengthening its ties with communities throughout Himachal Pradesh.

The meeting concluded on a positive note, with an encouraging exchange of ideas regarding the organization’s forthcoming programs and grassroots activities.
