On Friday morning, a collision occurred in the Goregaon area of Mumbai involving a bus operated by Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport (BEST) and a stationary truck, resulting in injuries to eight individuals, including six passengers. An official provided this information.
The injured, which included the bus driver and conductor, were promptly transported to a nearby hospital. The incident took place around 6:30 AM in front of the Vanrai police station in the western suburb.
According to police reports, the bus was en route from Dindoshi to the Sevri bus station at the time of the accident. An official explained that a car unexpectedly entered the path of the BEST bus from the service road, prompting the driver to swerve left, leading to a loss of control and a subsequent crash into the parked truck.
The official confirmed that the bus driver, conductor, and six passengers sustained injuries. The injured individuals have been identified as Ashraf Sahid Hussain (66), Sitaram Gaikwad (60), Bharti Mandavkar (56), Sudhakar Rewale (57), Pochia Naresh Kanpochi (30), and Amit Yadav (35).
