Bharmour – An insightful event titled “Shiksha Samvaad” (Education Dialogue) took place on Friday at the Government Senior Secondary School in Bharmour, bringing together students, parents, and educators to discuss the changing landscape of education and its associated challenges.
Chaman Singh, the President of the School Management Committee (SMC), spoke to the parents about the necessity of restricting children's use of modern gadgets, such as mobile phones, to educational purposes only.
He stressed the importance of shielding the youth from detrimental influences like drugs and urged families to fully utilize the benefits provided under the Right to Education Act, 2009. This includes access to free textbooks, uniforms, and scholarships available for tribal students, which should be maximized by all eligible individuals.
Principal Aruna emphasized that vocational education should be valued equally with traditional education, particularly in today’s skills-oriented job market. She advocated for the incorporation of practical training alongside conventional learning to equip students with essential employability skills.
A notable aspect of the event was the collective commitment made by teachers and parents to collaborate in fostering quality education. This gathering showcased a unified dedication to developing responsible and well-rounded individuals.
The event was attended by all school staff and parents, further solidifying the school’s strong community involvement and shared vision of achieving academic excellence intertwined with moral education.
