The organizers of the Durand Cup have revealed that ticket sales for the highly anticipated Kolkata Derby will commence on July 21. This prestigious football tournament in India is scheduled to kick off on July 25 and will run until August 23. Matches will take place in five cities: Kolkata, Ranchi, Imphal, Guwahati, and Shillong. In Kolkata, games will be hosted at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan and Kishore Bharati Krirangan, with the final match set to occur at Yuba Bharati.
Ticket Sales for Kolkata Derby
The inaugural match of the tournament will feature the Kolkata Derby, taking place on Saturday, July 25, at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan, starting at 5 PM. Historically, the two rival teams have collectively secured the title 33 times, with Mohun Bagan claiming 17 victories and East Bengal 16. Given the significance of this match, ticket demand is expected to be exceptionally high, making physical tickets a necessity.
Online ticket sales will open on Tuesday, July 21, at 11 AM. Supporters can purchase tickets through the BookMyShow app and website.
For those preferring offline purchases, ticket sales and redemption of online tickets will be available from July 22 to July 24, with counters operating daily from 11 AM to 6 PM. Tickets can be bought or redeemed at the Mohun Bagan and East Bengal club ticket counters.
It is important to note that for all other group and knockout matches in Kolkata, mobile tickets (M-tickets) will be utilized via the BookMyShow platform to facilitate a seamless, paperless entry for fans. However, the Derby match will require traditional tickets.
