The district town planner's team took decisive action on Tuesday by demolishing an illegal commercial colony being developed over approximately two acres in the Mandhaiya Kalan area. According to District Town Planner Rajendra T. Sharma, the unauthorized construction was brought to their attention.
Following this, the district administration appointed a duty magistrate to oversee the demolition of the illegal structures. On Tuesday, the department's team, supported by a significant police presence and the duty magistrate, arrived at the site and used a JCB to raze the constructions.
The DTP emphasized that no illegal construction should occur in controlled areas. Before purchasing any plots, individuals should verify the legality of the colony with the town planner's office to avoid departmental actions and financial losses. He advised that any construction must be approved according to government regulations.
Property dealers involved in creating illegal colonies often mislead the public by selling plots on vacant land. The general public typically realizes the issue only when enforcement actions begin at the site, leaving buyers feeling cheated. He urged people not to buy plots in illegal colonies to protect their earnings. Prospective buyers can check the legality of a colony at the district town planner's office on any working day.
