Following her expulsion from the Congress party, Dr. Navjot Kaur Sidhu has taken a significant political step by announcing the formation of her new political party, the Bharatiya Rashtrawadi Party (BRP), through a social media post. This move comes amidst ongoing discussions about her potential joining of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
In her statement, Sidhu emphasized that after a thorough evaluation of the current political leadership's performance, she has been working towards creating a new national alternative. Notably, since her expulsion from Congress at the beginning of 2026, there have been persistent speculations about her joining the BJP. However, with the announcement of her new party, these discussions have now come to a halt.
