Doctors Unite Against Synthetic Drugs

In a bold initiative to combat the growing issue of synthetic drugs, commonly known as Chitta, healthcare professionals in Kangra district have taken their advocacy from clinics to the cricket field.

On Saturday, the HMOA Kangra XI made their debut in Pool D of the Dhauladhar Cricket Cup, a tournament specifically designed to raise awareness about drug abuse.

Leading the Charge
Under the guidance of Dr. Udai Singh, the HMOA Kangra XI showcased their skills in both batting and bowling at the ITI Shahpur ground.

However, the focus was not solely on the scores; the medical team utilized this opportunity to connect with local youth, stressing the severe physical and mental impacts of addiction.

Promoting Sports as a Solution

During the event, Dr. Udai Singh praised the Dhauladhar Cricket Cup as a "remarkable initiative" in the battle against drug use.

"Such events are crucial for keeping our youth active and healthy. By opting for sports over drugs, we demonstrate to the younger generation that there are more rewarding paths to pursue," Dr. Singh remarked.

A Collective Commitment

The tournament represented more than just a sporting event; it was a formal commitment. On the field, the participating doctors collectively pledged to strive for a "Chitta-free" Himachal Pradesh, motivating the youth to invest their energy in sports and community development.
