Kanimozhi Advocates for DMK Candidate in Tirunelveli
DMK MP Kanimozhi Karunanidhi actively campaigned for party candidate Subramanian in the Tirunelveli constituency, urging voters to support the symbol of the "rising sun" and to continue the current government's development agenda. According to a press release, Kanimozhi emphasized in her speech that the state government, led by Chief Minister M.K. Stalin, has fulfilled many of its key electoral promises. She highlighted welfare schemes aimed at women, students, and farmers, noting that these initiatives have brought substantial benefits across Tamil Nadu and will be further advanced if the party is re-elected.

She criticized the BJP government for its implementation of the NEET exam and the National Education Policy, alleging that these measures adversely affect Tamil Nadu's students and limit their opportunities. Kanimozhi also accused the AIADMK-BJP alliance, led by Edappadi K. Palaniswami, of failing to stand up for the rights of the state. She stressed the importance of education, social welfare, and inclusive development, mentioning plans for financial aid, skill development programs, and employment support for students.
The press release also included a list of planned infrastructure and development projects for Tirunelveli, which encompass industrial growth, transportation facilities, and improvements in healthcare. In concluding her speech, she urged voters to support the DMK to ensure the continuation of the "Dravidian model" of governance, which aims to secure Tamil Nadu's development, social justice, and rights.

BJP candidate Tamilisai Soundararajan from the Mylapore constituency launched a fierce attack on the DMK during her campaign for the upcoming elections. She pointed out the lack of basic infrastructure in central Chennai, stating, "You cannot even imagine the level of backwardness in the constituency... I have noted all their issues, and they will be addressed... We are expecting to win over 200 seats in Tamil Nadu."
