DMK Delegation Welcomed in Greece
In Greece, a parliamentary delegation led by DMK MP Kanimozhi was warmly received by Maria Antonio, the chairperson of the India-Greece Friendship Group, and Christos Dermetzopoulos, the secretary of the parliamentary group ND, at the Hellenic Parliament. Dermetzopoulos expressed gratitude on behalf of the Greek side towards Kanimozhi.
Unity Against Terrorism
During her address at the Hellenic Parliament, Kanimozhi emphasized that when India faces aggression, all political factions unite, as they represent the sentiments of their citizens who are distressed by recent events on Indian soil. She thanked Greece for standing with India and condemning terrorism.
Global Nature of Terrorism
Kanimozhi remarked that terrorism does not confine itself to Indian territory; it spreads globally, and no nation is immune, regardless of their distance from the regions where these terrorist groups are supported. She referenced a recent interview with Pakistan's defense minister, who acknowledged that they engage in unsavory activities worldwide, indicating that their actions are not limited to India.
India's Responsible Response to Terrorism
She noted that India responded to the Pulwama terrorist attack with great responsibility, avoiding civilian residences, places of worship, or legitimate military installations. The message from Indian leaders is clear: enough is enough. Meanwhile, a multi-party delegation from India has commenced its visit to Saudi Arabia, with key member Baijayant Jay Panda stating that they are conveying a firm stance against terrorism that allows for no compromise.
Delegation's Visit to Saudi Arabia
Panda is leading one of the seven multi-party delegations tasked with visiting 33 global capitals to inform the international community about Pakistan's intentions and India's position on terrorism. Before arriving in Riyadh, the delegation visited Bahrain and Kuwait. In a post on 'X', Panda reiterated, 'India's stance on terrorism is resolute and unwavering—this is the message we bring to Saudi Arabia with our multi-party delegation.' He expressed appreciation for the warm welcome from His Excellency Major General Abdul Rahman Alharbi, the chairman of the Saudi Arabia-India Friendship Committee, and highlighted the importance of strengthening their growing partnership.
