During the debate on Operation Sindoor, Kanimozhi criticized the Modi administration for engaging in divisive politics and excluding the opposition from crucial national security briefings. She stated that there is no expectation for the country to unite when it is being divided, and they will not support such divisive tactics. She questioned whether the government has ever invited them to discuss developments following foreign delegations.
Kanimozhi expressed mixed feelings about the opposition's involvement in the Operation Sindoor Global Outreach. While she acknowledged the BJP's decision to include opposition leaders in the delegation, she stressed that the circumstances leading to this decision were unfortunate. She noted that for the first time, the BJP has shown some trust in the opposition by sending them as leaders of the delegations to represent the country. However, she added that they would have preferred to be in a position where such delegations were not necessary due to the breakdown of peace and the disappointment caused by the central government.

Kanimozhi also opposed Home Minister Amit Shah's remarks labeling opposition parties as 'less patriotic.' She reminded Shah that the DMK was the first party to rally in support of the armed forces and stood with the government during an all-party meeting. She pointed out that the Home Minister's speech portrayed them as less patriotic, asserting that the DMK has never let the country down and has always supported the defense forces.
