Jaipur. A disturbing incident has emerged from the Nahari Ka Naka cemetery in the Shastri Nagar area of Jaipur, leaving the local community in shock. Late at night, unidentified individuals tampered with two graves, opening them and causing significant unrest among the local Muslim community and nearby residents, who are now demanding strict action against the perpetrators.
This incident took place in the busy Shastri Nagar region, where the cemetery is located in the northern part of the city. The graves of recently deceased women were specifically targeted. According to local residents, similar incidents have occurred before, but this particular case has garnered the most attention. Taking advantage of the darkness, unknown individuals entered the cemetery and dug up at least two graves. This is not the first occurrence of such an incident. Approximately six months ago, in January 2025, a similar case was reported at the same cemetery, where three graves were tampered with, and the burial shrouds of women were also missing. At that time, the police investigated the possibility of occult practices, but no arrests were made, leaving a lingering sense of insecurity in the area. Despite previous complaints, no substantial action was taken, and now history seems to be repeating itself.

Authorities Respond to Community Concerns
Following this incident, tension has escalated in the Shastri Nagar area, with residents calling for the immediate arrest of those responsible. The local police arrived promptly at the scene upon receiving the report. Initial investigations confirmed the tampering of the graves, and a case has been registered. ADCPI North-II, Bajrang Singh Shekhawat, personally inspected the site and stated that a forensic team has been summoned to collect soil samples and other evidence. The police are also reviewing footage from nearby CCTV cameras.
The investigation is being conducted from all angles, and the police have increased security around the cemetery while seeking information from local residents. The ADCPI assured that there would be no leniency in this case.
