Chittorgarh District Meeting on Land Market Rates
Chittorgarh. A meeting of the district-level committee was convened on Tuesday at the D.R.D.A. auditorium under the chairmanship of District Collector Dr. Manju, following the directives from the Secretary of Finance (Revenue) and Tax Department of the Rajasthan Government, as per circular number P.2(2) Finance/Tax/2024 dated April 28, 2026. The meeting focused on determining the market rates for agricultural, residential, and commercial land for the fiscal year 2026-27.
Attendees included MLA Chandrabhan Singh Aakya, MLA Suresh Dhakad, former MLA Ashok Navalakha, along with various public representatives and officials from relevant departments. The discussions revolved around the current market conditions of land in different areas of the district, development activities, infrastructure, urban expansion, and industrial and commercial opportunities.
During the meeting, District Collector Dr. Manju emphasized that the determination of market rates would be conducted with complete transparency, fairness, and practicality, in accordance with state government guidelines. She stated that the rates should accurately reflect the real market value while balancing the interests of the general public, farmers, investors, and other stakeholders.
The Collector instructed officials to conduct a thorough study of each area's geographical conditions, current developments, land use, availability of infrastructure, and local circumstances when proposing market rates. She urged all relevant departments to work in coordination to ensure timely action.
Local representatives also presented significant suggestions considering the local conditions, development works, and public interests. The committee engaged in detailed discussions on the suggestions received and departmental reports to ensure that the market rates for 2026-27 are determined realistically and in the public interest.
Senior officials from relevant departments, members of the district-level committee, and other officials were present at the meeting.
