The boy was taken to a nearby hospital for precautionary evaluation and was later released. Witnesses on Reddit mentioned that he exited the log at the top of the hill and slid down the steep drop. Some described the incident as a fall or tumble, while one user noted that the child sustained only minor injuries.
Disneyland's security and medical teams responded promptly to the scene. Following the incident, the ride was closed for the remainder of the evening but reopened the next day, functioning normally by Tuesday afternoon. The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health's Amusement Ride & Tramway Unit conducted an investigation and reported no operational issues with the ride.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, which was formerly Splash Mountain, is a log-flume ride that does not feature lap bars or seat belts. The attraction was revamped to reflect the theme of Disney's "The Princess and the Frog."
