Holi: On June 6, a thorough mock drill focused on disaster management took place at the Government Senior Secondary School in Holi, Bharmaur. This exercise involved various departments, including Revenue, Police, Home Guards, Fire, and Health, all aimed at improving emergency preparedness. The drill was observed by CISF Sub-Inspector Vivek Kumar, while Tehsildar Holi, Ajay Kumar, oversaw the proceedings.


Phase One: Simulated Earthquake

At 9:30 AM, the school principal alerted the sub-divisional administration about a simulated earthquake scenario, where several students were portrayed as having sustained minor injuries. The school administration acted quickly, executing emergency protocols to evacuate students safely and administer first aid to those injured.


Phase Two: Fire Emergency Simulation

At 11 AM, a fire was simulated in the chemistry lab, resulting in injuries to five students and one staff member. The fire department responded promptly, facilitating a safe evacuation and transporting the injured to a nearby hospital for medical attention.



Safety Awareness Session

Following the drill, a session was conducted with students where experts highlighted essential safety measures during emergencies and the significance of being aware. Practical demonstrations were also provided to equip students with the skills necessary to manage emergencies effectively.
