Did India Aid the US in Sinking an Iranian Warship? Government Denies Claims!

Government Refutes Allegations of Intelligence Sharing

New Delhi: On Friday, high-ranking government officials dismissed as "absurd and unfounded" the allegations that the Indian Navy had shared intelligence with the United States regarding an Iranian frigate that was recently sunk by a US submarine.

Officials firmly stated that there was no involvement in providing any information to the US, labeling the claims as entirely false.

The US military sank the Iranian vessel off the coast of Sri Lanka on Wednesday, which has led to a strong backlash from Iran.

The frigate, known as IRIS Dena, was on its way back to Iran after taking part in the Milan multilateral naval exercise organized by India.

This incident resulted in the deaths of at least 87 Iranian sailors and represents a significant escalation in tensions between the US and Iran beyond the Persian Gulf.
